국립순천대학교(총장 이병운) 대학일자리플러스센터는 글로컬대학사업의 일환으로 지난 9월 18일 학내 도서관 상상라운지에서 재학생과 졸업생을 위한 「2025 글로컬 잡페어 현직자 멘토링 데이」행사를 성공적으로 개최했다고 밝혔다.

대기업, 공기업, 외국계기업 현직자를 초청하여 마련된 이번 행사는 청년을 위한 기업 및 직무 정보뿐만 아니라, 취업 준비에 실질적인 조언을 얻을 수 장으로 꾸려졌다.

현직자 멘토링에는 KPX전력거래소, 한국자산관리공사 전남지역본부, 한국철도공사 전남본부, 한국농어촌공사, 한국산업인력공단, 농협경제지주, 현대스틸산업(주), 포스코, 한국알프스, 써모피셔사이언스픽, 툰토리 등 총 11개 기업이 참여하였다.

부대 프로그램으로는 순천고용복지플러스센터를 비롯한 지역 내 4개 국민취업지원제도 운영 기관이 참여한 ‘청년고용정책 상담 부스’, 취업 준비생의 부담을 덜어주는 ‘무료 이력서 사진관’, 흥미롭게 체험하며 마음을 살피는 ‘취업 타로존’ 등이 운영됐다. 특히 재학생과 졸업생이 함께 소통하며 취업 스트레스를 해소할 수 있도록 마련된 「취업 공감 한마당」 프로그램은 학생들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

행사에 참여한 공과대학 4학년 학생은 “평소 관심 있던 기업의 현직자로부터 직접 취업 준비에 유익한 정보를 얻을 수 있었고, 청년고용정책 상담과 무료 이력서 사진 촬영까지 한 자리에서 해결할 수 있어 매우 뜻깊은 시간이었다”라고 소감을 전했다.

최수임 대학일자리플러스센터장은 “앞으로도 기업 채용설명회, 현직자 멘토링 등 학생들이 기업과 직무를 직접 탐색할 수 있는 기회를 확대해 진로 설계에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 국립순천대학교 대학일자리플러스센터는 기업 현장 경험을 바탕으로 졸업생들의 지역 정주와 취업률 제고를 도모하기 위해 「직무체험형 인턴」 사업을도 활발히 운영하고 있다.

Sunchon National University Successfully Hosts “2025 Glocal Job Fair: Mentoring Day with Industry Professionals”

Sunchon National University (SCNU, President Lee Byung-woon) announced that its Career Development Plus Center successfully held the “2025 Glocal Job Fair: Mentoring Day with Industry Professionals” on September 18 at the university library’s Imagination Lounge. The event, organized as part of the Glocal University initiative, provided both current students and alumni with practical opportunities to engage directly with industry experts.

A total of 11 companies participated in the mentoring sessions, including Korea Power Exchange, Korea Asset Management Corporation Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, Korea Railroad Corporation Jeonnam Headquarters, Korea Rural Community Corporation, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, NongHyup Agribusiness Group, Hyundai Steel Industry Co., POSCO, Alps Korea, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Toontory. Company representatives shared insights into their industries and provided students with practical advice for career preparation.

Additional programs included career counseling booths supported by the Suncheon Employment Welfare Plus Center and four other regional institutions operating the National Employment Support Program, a free resume photo booth to ease the financial burden of job seekers, and even a “career tarot” experience zone. In particular, the “Career Sharing Plaza,” designed to relieve job-hunting stress and encourage communication between students and alumni, received highly positive feedback.

A senior student from the College of Engineering shared, “It was valuable to hear first-hand career advice from professionals at companies I’ve been interested in, and I also appreciated being able to access employment counseling and resume photo services all in one place.”

Professor Choi Soo-im, Director of the Career Development Plus Center, stated, “We will continue to provide diverse opportunities such as job fairs, company briefings, and mentoring sessions so that students can directly explore companies and occupations, thereby helping them plan their careers more effectively.”

Meanwhile, the Career Development Plus Center at SCNU is currently operating an “On-the-Job Internship” program designed to enhance employment outcomes and strengthen local settlement of graduates by providing hands-on workplace experience.
